MARKETING COORDINATOR –  “By far the strongest promotion in the history of the company…  prospective clients are calling us everyday!”

THE CHALLENGE
One of the county’s largest food service companies (US Food Service) wanted to attract potential clients to their booth at the most important event of the year:  “The Las Vegas Food Show”

THE RESOLUTION
After surveying the venue, Blue Chip personnel introduced a logo’d product that had just rolled off of the assembly line and had never been seen in the food service industry:  “The Fiber Optic Light-up Glasses” This was the first time the US Food Service and Blue Chip Executives had ever worked together and both parties agreed that it would be perfect item for Fabulous Las Vegas.

THE RESULTS

Not only did the light up glass promotion more than triple the usual foot traffic to their booth, but phone calls flooded in from new clients requesting the glasses.  The marketing department claimed that no prior promotion or advertising campaign had made such an impact on prospective client growth.  The response was so overwhelming that the decision was made to add the glasses to their new line of retail products throughout the company.

THE CHALLENGE

Reward card holders for booking their flights, hotels and rental car reservations using the American Express Travel Center wile avoiding the logistical challenges of distributing from three locations

THE SOLUTION

Green, Gold, and Platinum Light Up Luggage Tags

THE RESOLUTION

Every time a card holder would book travel through the American Express Travel Center with their American Express card they received a green, gold or platinum light up luggage tag depending on their card type. This was the perfect item to tie into the travel theme and recognize the customer’s card status. However, finding the perfect item was only half of the challenge. American Express planned on shipping these out of one of three distribution centers. We knew that they would order in excess of 25,000 pieces for the program, but did not know the exact quantities of each color the individual centers would need.

To solve this logistical Dilemma, The luggage tags were produced in China and shipped into the US by ocean freight to keep costs low. Blue Chip's port facility warehoused the luggage tags and made monthly shippments to the three different centers based on individual product needs.
